Pet nails damage furniture. Scratches don&#039;t look nice and, for example, get into dust are a shame! Even the best fabrics and most robust leathers cannot withstand the &#039;treatment&#039; of our best friends.
• Tip 2: temperature
Too much heat is harmful to all upholstery. Foam fillings deteriorate in quality due to too much heat. Therefore, never place furniture too close to heat sources. Can&#039;t avoid placing a bench in front of the radiator? Make sure that there is sufficient space between the floor, radiator and seating furniture, so that the air can circulate properly.
• Tip 3: light
Light changes materials! This concerns light with a high UV radiation, such as sunlight. It causes fabric, leather and woods to fade. Therefore, try not to expose furniture to direct light. In this way, premature fading is prevented.
• Tip 4: humidity
Excessive humidity is not good for furniture. If the value is too low, leather will dry out, for example. Wood can deform, foam can change. In short, it is important to ensure a healthy living environment for people, animals and furniture. A humidity of 45-55% is recommended for living rooms, the ideal temperature is between 18-21 degrees Celsius.

People sometimes make the argument that leather &#039;lives&#039;. And they&#039;re right! Only when the leather falls below a moisture content of 5% is it declared &#039;technically dead&#039;. By nourishing the leather 2-4 times a year you ensure that it remains beautiful and intact for longer. If you do not maintain the leather, it will dry out and discolour more quickly. Also, the change of cleaning a stain will decline significantly when leather is left untouched.

Maintaining leather is very simple. Dust off the furniture every week, or use a slightly damp cloth. You can also use a vacuum cleaner, make sure to use a clean and soft furniture attachment. Respond adequately to new stains and use the maintenance products from the recommended maintenance set every six months to keep the leather in top condition.Stains

Use the vacuum cleaner with a clean and soft furniture attachment to dust off the furniture weekly (maximum 500 Watt). Use the LCK® cleaning glove, with a few drops of LCK® / Puratex® cleaning water (if advised) to freshen up the upholstery. This provides the fabric with a little moisture and ensures that superficial dirt is removed.Weekly cleaningKeep the surface dust-free.Wipe with the LCK® cleaning glove (with dry or with a few drops of cleaning water if advised).Half-yearly cleaningMake the surface dust-free.Wipe with the LCK® cleaning glove (slightly damp, if advised).Protect with the Puratex® impregnation spray (if advised).StainsRemove coarse dirt as much as possible with a spoon or the blunt side of a knife.Then treat the stain with the recommended Puratex® cleaner. Apply some of the cleaner to a clean cloth and treat the stain.Always work from the outside in and always treat a larger area than the stain itself.After cleaning with the Puratex® cleaner, clean the entire section with water. Put a little cleaning water in a container and immerse the LCK® cleaning glove/clean cloth and wring it out. Then wipe the cleaned fabric thoroughly from seam to seam. Repeat once if necessary. As an alternative: use a regular cotton cloth and distilled water. DO NOT USE regular tab water to prevent lime-scale stains. Protect the fabric with the Puratex® impregnation spray or Puratex® strong protector. Hold the pump sprayer at a distance of 20-30 centimeters above the fabric and spray a thin, even layer over the fabric. Try to keep the pump injector as vertical as possible. What is it?
A Keralux® colour repair set (CRS) is a color set that we create especially for you, with which you can refresh the original color of your leather. The set is complete with a custom color lotion, a powerful cleaner and includes all the accessories you need.Suitable for?
You can camouflage small superficial scratches, light damage and craquelure with a CRS. Think of:∙ Damage due to use, such as wear on the piping.
∙ Abrasions, for example by jeans.
∙ Scratches, for example by nails.
∙ Abrasions, as long as they are superficial.
∙ Discolourations, for example due to direct contact with sunlight.

Different kinds of colour
When you buy a new piece of furniture, you will notice that all relevant information about your leather is stated on the purchase receipt. Keep this well, because you need this information to select the right Keralux® colour repair set. Are you not in the possession of the purchase receipt? Don&#039;t worry, there are alternatives especially for you.I DO know the leather specifications
Do you still have the purchase receipt, or do you know by heart which leather and which color it is? Then select the correct color from the drop-down menu. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. That can happen, especially when you take over furniture from someone or when the leather is decades old. In this case, there are a number of alternatives you can choose from. Option 1.) is our preference, because that way you can be sure that you will receive the correct colour.Option 1.) Keralux® colour repair set | after sample
The best option is to send us a small leather sample. And no, you don&#039;t have to &#039;operate&#039; your sofa to do this.
A small strip of leather about 1-4 centimeters (about half of your little finger) is enough! See also: Hint. Send the sample to our company address, stating your contact details. We will contact you automatically.Tip: at the bottom of a piece of furniture, or behind a closure/zipper, the leather often overlaps by a few centimetres. Here you can usually cut away a small strip of leather invisibly.​Option 2.) Keralux® colour repair set | standard colour (!)
Sometimes a piece of furniture is completely &#039;stitched up&#039; and you cannot cut away a sample. Then a standard colour might be something for you. Take a view at the colour chart and compare the colours with the colour of your leather. Does one of the colours match your leather for approximately 95%? Then this would be a good solution. For example, a common standard colour is standard black. Are you in doubt? Then choose option 1, or continue reading.Optie 3.) Keralux® colour repair set | RAL-number (!)
Do the above options not suite your situation? Then give us an official RAL-number, just like at the paint shop. To do this, go to the local paint/job shop and ask if they lend a RAL fan &quot;classic&quot;. With this fan (or sometimes calles RAL-deck) you can determine the correct colour quite accurately. THE TEN BASIC RULESWith these ten rules, you should be able to treat common stains with ease:

Dust off! It may sound logical, but weekly dusting is like 95% of your furniture maintenance. It prevents the build-up of household waste (dust) and ensures that your furniture stays nice and fresh. Tip: check whether the LCK® cleaning glove set is suitable for your furniture. Go directly to: maintenance advice.

&#039;Spring &amp; winter cleaning&#039;. We recommend that you maintain furniture 2-4 times a year with the recommended maintenance products. This way you ensure that you can enjoy your furniture to the fullest, every year!

Spilled liquid? Remove liquids as much as possible without dabbing hard. First, try to absorb the liquid with a sheet of uncolored paper towel. The aim is to prevent as much liquid (and therefore dye) from entering the fibers as possible. Then clean with the recommended cleaner and distilled water, see rule 10.

Remove solids such as mustard, mayonnaise with a spoon or the blunt side of a knife. Then clean again with the recommended cleaner.

Never scrub! You will continue to see this. Follow the instructions on the packaging of the maintenance product and, if in doubt, contact us. Our experts are available every working day.

Home garden and kitchen remedies, rather not! This often contains solvents, and you also do not know how the agent reacts to your upholstery. Use the recommended cleaner, or contact us. There is often more possible than you think!

Always clean a complete section. This is jargon to always clean and maintain from seam to seam. For example, after you have cleaned a stain on a back cushion, you also need to clean the entire back cushion. If you only clean a stain locally, you have a chance that you will continue to see this.

Technique. Whenever possible, always clean a stain from the outside in. This way you avoid spreading the stain further. Do not apply too much pressure and let the cleaner do the work.

Let the cleaner do the work. In other words, follow the instructions and let the cleaner soak in briefly. In this way, the cleaner can dissolve the pollution. Then remove the cleaner (and thus the dissolved contamination) with a slightly damp cloth.

Do not use tap water. Not all tap water has the same water hardness. Due to &#039;hard&#039; water, limescale rims can remain behind, which are very difficult to remove. So get a liter of distilled or demineralized water at home. This always comes in handy and is available in almost every supermarket / drugstore.

Grease stains (in leather)Whatever you do, stay calm, because you don&#039;t have to do anything about most grease stains. What&#039;s up with that? Most leathers with an open structure have the property of absorbing small grease stains (such as gravy splashes) over time. You don&#039;t have to do anything about this yourself, except to monitor it.

Day 1: Remove as much solids and liquids as possible, using the basic rules above. Then take a picture of the grease stain and put a reminder in your calendar for next week.

Day 8: Take another photo from the same spot a week later and set another memory.

Repeat this for about 3-4 weeks and compare the photos afterwards. Is the grease stain visibly reduced? Then don&#039;t do anything about it, the stain will disappear on its own. If not, please contact us and send us the photos.

Article 1, definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the following meanings:∙ agreement: an agreement in which the client acquires products or services, with respect to a distance agreement and these goods and/or services are delivered by the Entrepreneur or a third party on the basis of an arrangement between this third party and the Entrepreneur.;
∙ client: the natural person who does not act for purposes related to his/her commercial trade, craft or professional activities;
∙ day: calendar day;
∙ distance contract: a contract concluded by the Entrepreneur and the client within the scope of an organized system for distance selling products and/or services, whereby exclusive or additional use is made of one or more technologies of distance communication up to the conclusion of the contract;
∙ entrepreneur: LCK Nederland B.V.;
∙ reflection period: the period during which the client may use his right of withdrawal;
∙ right of withdrawal: the client’s option not to proceed with the distance agreement within the cooling-off period;
∙ form for withdrawal: the European standard form for withdrawal
∙ sustainable data carrier: any means, including e-mail, that allow the client or the Entrepreneur to store information directed to him/her personally in such a manner that makes future consultation and use possible during a period that matches the purpose for which the information is destined and which makes unaltered reproduction of the stored information possible.
∙ technology for distance communication: any means to be used for concluding an agreement without the client and the Entrepreneur being together in the same place at the same time.

These General Terms and Conditions apply to any offer from the entrepreneur and to any distance contract concluded by the entrepreneur and the client. Before concluding a distance contract, the entrepreneur has made the text of these General Terms and Conditions available on the website.
The text of these General Terms and Conditions can be viewed electronically and they can be sent at the client´s request, free of charge, either via e-mail or otherwise.Article 4, offer
If an offer is of limited duration or if certain conditions apply, it shall be explicitly stated in the offer.The offer contains a full and accurate description of the products and/or services offered. The description is suitably detailed to enable the client to assess the products or services adequately. Pictures are truthful images of the products and/or services provided. Obvious errors or mistakes in the offer do not bind the entrepreneur. All offers contain such information that it is clear to the client what rights and obligations are attached to accepting the offer.

Article 5, the price
All prices indicated in the webshop are including Dutch VAT. Article 6, contract
The contract becomes valid when the client has accepted the offer and fulfilled the terms and conditions set.Article7, right of withdrawal
The client can repudiate a purchase contract for a product without giving reasons for a period of reflection of 14 days. The entrepreneur may ask the client about the reason for the withdrawal but cannot force him to state his reason(s). The reflection period starts on the day the product is received by the client or by a third party appointed by him in advance and who is not the carrier, or
if the client ordered several products in the same order: the day on which the client or a third party appointed by him received the last product.Article 8, client’s obligations during the time of reflection
During this period, the client shall handle the product and the packaging with care. The client shall only unpack the product to the extent necessary for establishing the nature and the characteristics of the product. The guiding principle is that the client may only handle and inspect the product in the manner in which one is allowed to handle a product in a shop.Article 9, Exercising the client’s right of withdrawal and the costs
If the client exercises his right of withdrawal he shall notify the entrepreneur unambiguously with the standard form for withdrawal within the period of reflection. The client shall return the product or deliver it to the entrepreneur as soon as possible but within 14 days counting from the day following the notification has been sent. The client shall return the product in the original state and packing and in conformity with the instructions given by the entrepreneur. The risk and the burden of proof for the correct and timely exercise of the right of withdrawal fall on the client. The client shall bear the direct costs of returning the product.Article 10, entrepreneur’s obligations in case of withdrawal
The entrepreneur shall promptly send a return receipt after receiving notification of withdrawal.The entrepreneur shall reimburse all payments made by the client., including paid delivery costs as soon as possible but within 14 days following the day on which the Entrepreneur has received the product. The entrepreneur shall make use of the same means of payment that the client used, unless the client consents to another method. The reimbursement is free of charge for the client. If the client opted for a more expensive method of delivery instead of the cheapest standard delivery, the Entrepreneur need not reimburse the additional costs for the more expensive method. Article 11 - Exclusion of the right of withdrawal
The Entrepreneur excludes the following products and services from the right of withdrawal: Products manufactured in accordance with the Client’s specifications which are not prefabricated and which are produced on the basis of a client’s individual choice of colour or mixture.Article 12 performance of an agreement
The entrepreneur guarantees that the products and/or services comply with the agreement, with the specifications listed in the product description and manuals, with reasonable requirements of usability and/or reliability and with the existing statutory provisions and/or government regulations on the day the contract was concluded. The entrepreneur is not responsible for any damages that may occur due to wrong usage of the product or to not following the instructions/manuals.Article 13, delivery and execution
The entrepreneur shall exercise the best possible care when booking orders and executing product orders and when assessing requests for the provision of services. The place of delivery is at the address given by the client to the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur shall execute accepted orders with convenient speed but at least within 30 days, unless another delivery period was agreed on. If the delivery has been delayed, or if an order cannot be filled or can be filled only partially, the client shall be informed about this within one month after ordering. In such cases, the client is entitled to repudiate the contract free of charge. The entrepreneur shall return the payment made by the client promptly but at least within 30 days after repudiation. The risk of loss and/or damage to products will be borne by the entrepreneur until the time of delivery to the client or a representative appointed in advance and made known to the client, unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Article 14, payment
The following means of payment are available: credit card, pay pal, banktransfer, IDEAL and Mr cash.Article 15, complaints procedure
Complaints about the performance of the contract shall be submitted fully and clearly described to the Entrepreneur within 2 days after the client discovered the defects. The complaints submitted to the Entrepreneur shall be replied within a period of 14 days after the date of receipt. Should a complaint require a foreseeable longer time for handling, the Entrepreneur shall respond within 14 days with a notice of receipt and an indication when the client can expect a more detailed reply. The usage of our products by the consumer is out of the entrepreneurs control. It is therefore that the entrepreneur cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur due to wrong usage and/or not following instructions or manuals.Article 16, applicable law
Contracts between the Eentrepreneur and the client to which these General Terms and Conditions apply, are exclusively governed by Dutch law. ​</description>
